The FreewayCamper Station is located in the north of Stuttgart in the Stammheim district not far from Kornwestheim. It is easy to reach by car and public transport.

By Public Transportation:
Due to the parking situation, we strongly recommend using public transportation to get here. This is how easy you can reach us in Stuttgart by public transport:

  • From Stuttgart Mitte: Take the U15 in the direction of Stammheim to the Stammheim stop. Journey time approx. 30 minutes from the city center.
  • From Kornwestheim: Take bus line 412 to the Asperger Straße stop. Journey time approx. 20 minutes.
  • From Ludwigsburg: Take the S5 to the Kornwestheim Pf. stop and then the 412 bus line to the Asperger Straße stop. Journey time approx. 28 minutes.

By car:

Our station is very well connected. It is located exactly between Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg. Coming from either direction, you can take the B27 and B27a to Stammheim.You can also reach the station via the A81. Take the Stuttgart Zuffenhausen exit and then continue on the B10 and B27 to Stammheim.

In Stammheim's industrial park, take the second right turn on Emerholzweg into Am Wammesknopf Straße 6, where our station is located directly on the left. You can't miss it at all.

Bring and pick up service
For a comfortable start to your camper vacation, we also offer a drop-off and pick-up service for your camper or van in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg (79€/trip) and in the surrounding area (by arrangement). A pick-up and drop-off of the camper at Stuttgart airport is also possible by arrangement (99€/route).

Our station team in Stuttgart will contact you at least 3 days before your camper rental to arrange an exact pick-up and drop-off time with you.

All vehicles are new, in best condition and modern equipped. They have either an integrated transverse bed and/or a pop-up roof or a roof tent. We do not rent classic motorhomes with alcoves in Stuttgart. They are inflexible, harder to handle and maintenance-intensive. That's why we have specialized in campers and panel vans.

Are you still a beginner and don't know which type of vehicle to rent? Feel free to contact our service. We will be happy to advise you whether a van, a van or a mini with a roof tent suits you and your vacation plans.

Long-term parking spaces are unfortunately few in the immediate vicinity of the FreewayCamper Station. We strongly recommend to use Park and Ride lots in Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart or Kornwestheim.

After you have rented your camper, our station team in Stuttgart will contact you directly at least 3 days before your trip to arrange details for pick-up and drop-off.On site you will be shown the vehicle and everything important about your camper. By the way, you can inform yourself in advance about the rented camper with our explanatory videos. We will send you a link before you pick up your camper.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer you this option at the moment. You will have to return the camper in the same city where you rented it.

You still have questions about the process of your camper rental in Stuttgart? No problem, we are here for you! At least 3 days before you pick up the camper, our team will contact you to arrange the exact pick-up and drop-off times with you. After you have already discussed your pickup and return, you will have a direct contact from the station to whom you can turn to. Otherwise you can also contact our customer service at +49 89 889 970 86.

It goes without saying that all distance and hygiene rules are observed when handing over and taking back your camper in Stuttgart. In addition, there is disinfectant for the hands at the station. All campers are thoroughly cleaned and additionally disinfected by our station team in Stuttgart before handover.

Of course, all necessary Corona hygiene measures are observed on our ward in Stuttgart. To shorten the handover additionally and to make it as contactless as possible, we have prepared videos for your rented camper or motorhome. We will send you links to detailed explanatory videos for the handling of your vehicle before handing over your camper. You can already watch them, so that the handover and briefing itself can be kept as short as possible. Of course we are still there for your questions! If desired, we can also provide vehicle consultation and vehicle introduction via video call.

You have rented a camper, but now Corona puts a spoke in your travel plans? No problem! To give you maximum flexibility in your booking and travel, we have adapted our cancellation policy to the current circumstances. All trips already booked or booked in the future up to and including 30.09.2021 can be rebooked flexibly.In case of cancellation up to 30 days prior to departure, 70% of your booking costs will be refunded in full, 30% of your booking costs (= amount of deposit) will be converted into a voucher - which you can use flexibly for your booking and trip until 31.12.2021. In case of a cancellation up to 48 hours before the start of the trip, the following applies: you can flexibly rebook your current booking for a booking and trip until 31.12.2021 and without additional costs.

Your rented camper is ready for you in Stuttgart with a full tank. So you start directly and without detours into your camper vacation. In the course of our full-full refueling regulation we ask you to return the campervan also fully refueled.

Near our station you will find the OMV gas station in Stuttgart Stammheim in the Freihofstraße. Other gas stations in Kornwestheim and Zuffenhausen are easy to reach with your camper.

Die gemieteten Camper dürfen leider nicht in die normale Waschanlage. Mit den SB-Waschboxen bekommt ihr den die Fahrzeuge aber leicht sauber und rückgabefertig. In der Nähe unserer FreewayCamper Station findet ihr eine SB-Waschbox u.a. bei OMV Top Wasch in Stammheim sowie bei Wap Wash Autowäsche in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen.

Your camper is rented and you are ready to go. So that you don't have to bring your vacation shopping with you to the camper handover, we recommend that you simply go shopping directly afterwards. In the immediate vicinity of our station in Stuttgart Stammheim there is a REWE market and a Netto (both in the Freihofstraße).

In the direction of the A81 there is also an E-Center in Kallenberg as well as numerous other supermarkets along the B10 in the direction of Stuttgart or Ludwigsburg. There you can stock up for a camping trip.

With the camper to the Black Forest.

The Black Forest is perhaps the most famous low mountain range in Germany and is wonderfully suited for a trip with the camping vehicle of your choice. From Stuttgart, the Black Forest can be easily reached in just under 1h 40 minutes. There you can expect a stunning nature, an absolute paradise for hikers and bikers and family-friendly campsites. In addition, Freiburg, Germany's most southwestern and sunniest city, is not far away.

Your camping vacation at Lake Constance

Lake Constance - the Swabian sea - is always worth a trip. You can reach Lake Constance from our station in Stuttgart via the A81 motorway in no more than 2 hours. You can expect great campsites directly at the lake, cute towns like Constance and Lindau and of course swimming fun with alpine panorama for the whole family. The car ferries at Lake Constance are of course suitable for your camper, make it easier for you to get around and offer a nice change on your camper trip.

Off to France

Already 150km and about 1 hour and 40 minutes driving time you reach Strasbourg in France with your camper or motorhome. The city is known for its cathedral and the combination of French and German influences in architecture, culture and cuisine. It is the perfect starting point for your road trip through France.
